Welcome to the first opal knives review roundup!
If you’re seeing you have that means you’ve probably given me money. That’s very cool and progressive of you, I really appreciate it! I will try and make that expenditure worth your while!
My intent with opal knives is to not only do analysis on cultural topics but also highlight monthly releases. With my and everyone else’s background at o.k’s background mainly being musical, new album releases will be the predominate coverage here. That doesn’t mean other stuff won’t come into the mix though. August was pretty light when it came to new film releases (though, go see Cuckoo if you can!). The rest of the year looks to be much stronger, so expect to see that come into the fold very soon.
With everything else this month being dry, There were some great and at the very least interesting albums that came out. These write-ups are not traditonal review format. These are a lot more like discussions about the project and adding to conversations that surround it. I am not here to tell you whether an album is good or not. Most of the music I write about, I love. I don’t tend to cover albums I disliked outside of it being offensively bad to me (we do have one of those today!).
Let’s get into it!
